PIER AND KING HARBOR
With a history that's worthy of several movies and a setting unlike any other in the world, the Redondo Beach Pier and King Harbor are like nothing you've ever seen in Los Angeles. You must see it for yourself to take it all in and while your here, enjoy the huge wharf-like pier with fresh seafood caught daily, tons of views, or even grab some drinks at the iconic Tony's on the Pier.
Expect to find it packed here on the weekends, especially when the sun is shining. During the week the crowds thin out and you can have a uniquely relaxing experience walking around and enjoying the gift shops as well as the views.
On top of the abundance of fresh fish markets, you will also find fishermen hard at work here daily hoping for their catch of the day.
Tony's On The Pier offers a unique vantage point and is one of the most popular restaurants on the pier, make sure you get a seat up top and if you are feeling adventurous try their famous "Fire Chief" drink.
The Portofino Hotel is our favorite place to stay in Redondo Beach, with a top notch restaurant (Baleen Kitchen) and waterfront views, it can't be beat.
The Fun Factory is a unique experience that will turn any adult into a kid again. Laying claim to the "Largest Indoor Family Entertainment Center" in LA, once you step inside you are instantly feel like you are on a movie set. We recommend checking it out at least once, and bring the kids.
