The South Bay Welcomes Special Olympics Athletes

Manhattan Beach welcomes Special Olympics World Games

The Special Olympics World Games are finally here and we could not be more excited for all the athletes who have traveled from far and wide to compete and celebrate in our local communities. We are extremely excited that Manhattan Beach is the host town for the Hungarian team, because P2PB’s owner Diana Roberts is a Hungarian native and has a special message for the athletes:

Nagyon drukkolunk es sok sikert kívánunk az Olympia résztvevőinek es büszkék vagyunk az eddig elért sikereikhez.

Translation: We wish all the best for the participants and we are very proud of their achievements and success!

Make sure you don’t miss out this Tuesday, July 21st, as the torch, which was lit at the original olympic site in Greece, and will be seen on the Manhattan Beach Pier at 2:20 and then the Hermosa Beach pier from 3:15 to 4:15 pm. It will be an event you won’t want to miss along with all of the which games start on July 25 taking place all around Los Angeles.

For information on all the World Games 2015 activities going on in our communities check out the entire calendar here.
