Who is Cindy Hazard? and what makes you tick?
I am a wife, mother and local community member who loves being active and connecting people. Always being open to new experiences, opportunities and people has been a blessing to me. In the many roles of life I’ve been a student, a teacher, a businessperson, a coach and even a psychologist at times. As a Realtor I’m continually excited by the prospect of helping my clients meet their objectives. Buying and selling homes is a personal business where I can utilize the skills I’ve acquired over the years.
You are a new agent at Pier to Pier Brokers, what initially caught your eye about us, and how has the experience been so far?
I explored large and small brokerages with options to join teams or fly solo. What caught my eye with Pier to Pier Brokers is the dynamic personalities of Blake and Diana Roberts. Everyone I met while looking for a place to hang my license was exceedingly nice, however there was always a reason that I kept coming back to P2PB. The website is fresh, bright, easy to navigate and modern. We have a mostly paperless office and consistent professional branding, keeping with the direction of the industry. Each question, whether by phone or email, was responded promptly. They had follow through where others didn’t. Keeping on top of things while making a personal and professional connection made my decision simple. I’ve since found the support and individual attention at a boutique real estate firm benefits both myself and the clients.
What fuels your love of real estate?
Since I was very young sitting in the back seat as my parents explored real estate, I have loved this industry. Open houses allowed me to appreciate inspired architecture and interior design. With these passions paired with a background in sales and client relations, I get to interact with clients and make a positive difference in people’s lives. I love what I do!
What is your goal for 2017?
My goal is to help clients buy the property that is the best fit for them and their needs while at the same time excites them each time they come home. My Mom once said “If your heart doesn’t go pitter pat, don’t buy it.” I want to have completely satisfied clients, not only with the home they select, but with the smooth handling of what can be a potentially overwhelming process of home buying.
At the same time I am excited to assist sellers in marketing their properties in the most professional manner so that they might be rewarded with top dollar on their home. Property is the largest investment most of us will make in our lifetime. Here in the Beach Cities you should benefit from the consistent long term appreciation gained by owning and maintaining your home.
How has living in the South Bay influenced youR LIFE?
I cannot stress enough how fortunate I feel I am to be living in the South Bay of Los Angeles. We have a community with so many opportunities, resources and interesting people with whom to connect. After living here for many years, I see a friendly face almost everywhere I go!
A huge draw, is that the beach is a mere walk from almost anywhere in this region. I absolutely love seeing people take advantage of living in the Beach Cities. Daily you’ll see people walking their dogs on the Esplanade, playing beach volleyball, jumping in and surfing on the waves, cycling through the coastal cities and around Palos Verdes, taking a jog on the Strand, paddle boarding in the Redondo Beach marina and beyond, playing soccer on our local fields, and doing many more activities to get outside and appreciate the great weather.
In addition to the phenomenal community of people and beautiful natural resources, our school system is consistently outperforming itself. Personally, I have children enjoying and excelling in our local elementary, middle, and high schools.
Another huge plus about living in the South Bay is that a weekend getaway is a mere 2-3 hour drive in any direction. In the first few months of this year already I have been on weekend getaways to Big Bear Lake, Joshua Tree National Park, Solvang & Santa Ynez Valley, Leucadia in San Diego County, La Quinta & Palm Desert. California has so much to offer and being a few hours away from the beach to the mountains and deserts allows us to enjoy it all!
