We at Pier to Pier Brokers are big fans of homes with a little soul and a dash of character. So this home was a little out of our comfort zone, but after seeing it, we feel it's more of a blank canvas just waiting for the right artist.

Walking through the front gate of this newly rebuilt home in Manhattan Beach's Tree section, you are welcomed by a strip of luscious green grass and fire pit. Which to us, is kind of interesting for a front yard, but we are keeping an open mind with this one. As you make your way up the stairs next to the fire pit, you enter the home into a huge room that blends the living, dining, family room and kitchen all into one. The high ceilings and white wide-planked oak floors help open up the space as well. The kitchen that overlooks the family room is sleek with seamless grey cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Behind the kitchen there are two standard-sized bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom. One thing that kind of stood out to us was the size of the master bedroom upstairs, it felt more like a normal bedroom, than a master. We wish they would have gone for 3 bedrooms and made a small office/play area upstairs to allow more space for a proper master bedroom. Though, we do have to admit, the bathtub in the master bath was rather inviting.

Overall this is a great home if you like a contemporary design and are looking for something new. Fo us, it felt a bit too modern…like if Ikea started making homes…this is what they would look like. We are still up in the air about this one, but all-in-all we can definitely see some buyers out there who would love this style. Of course it is a brand new home in Manhattan Beach's tree section, so we know this home will go fast!
