712 John Street | Home Goals in the Hill Section

712 John Street, Manhattan Beach. Property Review by Pier to Pier Brokers

Asking Price: $13,500,000

7 BED · 6 BATH · 6,784 SQUARE FEET

This behemoth of a house in the Hill Section of Manhattan Beach could easily be one of the most expensive in its history. The only thing we could focus on going into it was the $13.5 Million price tag and instinctively we wanted to see some sort of validation for the assumed chunk of cheddar. We had the pleasure of getting a look inside this bad boy and damn is it the definition of home goals.

Once inside you are greeted by a modern staircase on your left with a fish tank that is see-through to the large living room. Continuing on we quickly got a feel for the modern design and layout and determined that this home entirely revolves around the outdoor space and pool. It’s actually quite nice because from every window you look out of there is a partial view with a resort-like setting, whether its the pool or the ocean.

Moving in to the kitchen we were a bit underwhelmed. While it holds up to the luxury standards for kitchens with two ovens, microwave, 48" SubZero, two additional refrigerator drawers, two dishwashers, & warming drawer, we just didn’t feel our jaws drop as one should when you are looking at $13.5 million dollar kitchen.

Out from the kitchen is the gorgeous salt water pool and spa, complete with a tranquil waterfall that falls in front of the outdoor cabana. The outdoor cabana area is spectacular and looks like it belongs on an E! Network reality tv show.

Upstairs, the rooms are open and bright with the help of the really cool modern skylights. We also loved the wood on the ceilings that was throughout the entire home. The master bedroom was just like the rest of the home with its modern feel but the highlight for us was definitely the his and hers walk-in closets and the bathroom with its gorgeous built-in tub. Another favorite of ours was upstairs in the office. Once you enter the room and you look left there is another connected room that is essentially a large day bed with a view. This would be a readers haven or the perfect spot for a nap with the ocean breeze blowing in through the open doors. On the lowest floor, you have more bedrooms and a decent home theater but nothing really Oscar worthy in our eyes. The home also features separate guest quarters, with a kitchenette and a full bath.

Overall, this home is spectacular and screams modern luxury at the top of its lungs. We could see the big selling point being the complete privacy this home offers due to the trees surrounding it. One thing we want to point out is that for the price tag, you do get minimal ocean views due to the surrounding properties and nature. We recommend this dream home for an uber-rich person who doesn’t really care about price and loves to entertain around he pool.
